Mission Statement	T.A. Campbell (1852-1931) arrived in South Dade in 1906. He operated the general store and was one of the first landowners in Homestead. He donated the eleven acres on which the school was built. Campbell Drive Elementary opened its doors in 1976 to help relieve the overcrowded schools in the area due to the growing population of Leisure City and Homestead. Mr. Delno Oliver was the first Principal at Campbell Drive and remained there for 13 years, until his retirement in 1989. His leadership was followed by Mrs. Gwendolyn Hines (1989-1996), Mrs. Betty A. Thomas (1996-2003), Mrs. Patricia L. Ascuncion (2003-2006) and Mrs. Ana C. Othon (2006-Present).
